I have a Kenmore chest freezer Model C675-19026-ON. The thermostat is defective and I have purchased a new one. The bulb is stuck inside and I need to pull it out so I can install the new one. How do I get at the bulb to remove it.Thankyou. Andy Csiffary

Hi Im John I will help you with the thermostat problem.
the old bulb just pulls out the sleeve it sits in , theres no way to get to the bulb without taking the freezer apart and thats impossable.
As I said the bulb was stuck. I actually took a plier and gripped the bulb and tried to pull it out and could not do so. The bulb only moves about a eight of an inch in the tube and that is all I can do. Andy
I had one like that in 45 years in the service business , The problem is when they were putting it together at the factory the bulb got squeezed by sheet metal thats why you cant pull the bulb out.
So based on the above informatin, if I can not remove the old bulb, how can I install the new thermostat, Or is my 6 year old freezer now a piece of junk. I hope there is an answer. Andy
What I did with my freezer I rerouted the bulb , i put it inside the freezer at the right rear corner and taped it to the inside wall , it sensed the temp ok that way and its still going 10 years later.
