Francis :

Hello, Can you feel the tube coming out of the compressor if it is too hot to handle?

Francis :

if it is barely hot, or if the heated pipe does not go a long way, then I can say that you could have a leak in your system and you lack refrigerant gas.

Francis :

Hello, have you checked the pipes of the compressor?

Customer:

the tube coming out of the compressor is room temperature. the compressor is fairly hot

Francis :

Ok. Thank you for those info. That would tell us that your unit lacks refrigerant. It could had a leak and all the gas are gone. You would need a tech to do the job since this is not a DIY. You need a licensed tech to do the leak repair and the charging of refrigerant.

Customer:

thanks i will check that out

Francis :

You are very much welcome.
