Hi There,My Washing Machine model GW551 has just had a wee hissy fit. When I turn it on it lights up and beeps OK and then when I push start the spin red light and the green short wash light show and it beeps. What does this mean?Thanks,Linda

There are 8 lights on the wash panel, left to right, 5 wash, 2 rinse and 1 spin.
EG: 12345-67-8
Exactly which lights are illuminating when the machine is beeping please? This is a fault code, I am able to supply the info requested, once I know the exact combination of lights etc,,,

It was 5 and 8.
But you won't bloody believe this I have been mucking around with it for half an hour and then I email you and go back to check the lights and the machine starts working!!! Do you have special super powers?
I would still be interested to know what happened.

Hi Linda,This is fault code 9, which I must say is rather unusual to come up.The controller thinks the machine is a different KG size than what has actually been programmed into it. If it has cleared now, then I wouldnt worry too much about it okay.The best thing you could do, is unplug the machine from the power point for around 15 minutes, let the memory drain and then power up and use as required in the future.Here is the fault code info for your reference okay,,along with the service procedure.If it does come back to give you trouble, just reply to me here in this question and I will help you as best I can okay..Feel free to leave me a good rating also.
