We have a Dometic RM2510 in a older Dodge Motor Home. By Necessity, it ran on gas for a number of years. A couple of weeks ago, as we attempted to restart the frig. but couldn't. A local repairman suggested replace the thermostat. I did. For the first time in many years, the refrig. began to run on electric, and has continued to for about 10 days. We need to switch back to gas operation. But, I don't know the next move to get it going on gas. What do I check, or what. Help!
Optional Information: Brand: Dometic Type of Appliance: Refrigerator Already Tried: Installed new thermostat, and made sure the burner was clean. That's all I know to do for now?
Hello and thank you for using this service. Ok the best thing I can do for you is get you to the service manual. On page 4 it describes the lighting process for you. If it fails to light there is a complete trouble shooting section to determine the issue. This should get you through it just fine and is better than me trying to type it all to you, it will save you time as well.CLICK HERE MANUALAll I ask is that you rate my assistance....tips are greatly appreciated...thanks!
I'm sorry. I didn't neglect to answer that I had been through the process in the manual. A manual came with the frid. when it was put in in 1998.I need to move on beyond the manual's advice.
Not this manual, this is the service manual...there is a ton more testing an information in this one. Go through the lightin procedure and there is a test you can do pn page 10 for the spark and electrode unit. You have to see what it is not doing before we can figure it out. Let me know.
