Hi, if it is leaking from the fill spout ? the water is supposed to go straight into the tub , sometimes those fill spouts move forward on a angle and the incoming water hits on thge side and splashes over, if the fill spout moves? mave sure it is vertical ..so the water goes straight into the DW and not hitting on the side , can you move the fill spout ?
No, it is permanently mounted to the side of the Dishwasher tub.
so you can see the water splashing over?
the water is escaping from the plastic molded piece on the outside of the dishwasher tub. Before we put the clamp on the black hose, some water was coming out of the bottom of the hose, but mostly the water is coming out of the sides of that plastic piece
if the fill spout isnt molded to the tub properly then you will get leaking .. the water comes from the seam of the tub?
the water is coming from two opening on the sides of the plastic molded piece. We have used this dishwasher for years and have not had any problems with leaks until now. there isn't any blockage in the filler spout because water is coming into the bottom of the dishwasher
ok ,ill opt out , sounds like a tub issue..if nothing is blocking then the tub is not sealing properly ,but maybe somebody else has more info
Thanks, but I will opt out too! I will call a repair person. Please refund my Paypal payment.

Hi. I'm Smitty. I am a professional appliance repair consultant here to help you diagnose, and repair, your appliance.
Please see the picture below. Is this the hose and plastic piece you are referring to?
Yes, that seems to be what we are looking at. Sorry, about the delay. I didn't realize there was another reply.
Unfortunately that is part of the tub assembly and can not be easily replaced.
What you can do is use some food coloring and apply it to the area and then wipe it off good. The food coloring will show any cracks. You can then use a good plastic epoxy repair kit and seal the cracks.
Use a hair dryer and warm the area aroung the cracks to dry it out completely. Roughen the area around the cracks with some 400 grit sand paper. Mix the epoxy and apply it. Let it set up for 24 hours before you try to use it.
ACE Hardware has some good plastic repair epoxy. It is product number 17349.

there are two openings on either side of the plastic piece that the black hose goes into and that is where the water is coming out. Water is also going into the bottom of the dishwasher, so it is not blocked.
The holes on either side may be an antibackflow device. There may be a piece of debris in there that is causing a partial restriction. Clear the debris and you should be fine.
I poured some Lime Away into the hole and it ran into the dishwaher and water is going into the bottom of the dishwasher. There is no way of cleaning out the plastic compartment.
The problem is that when water under pressure is sent to that point it should flow into the washer. If it is being redirected by a piece of debris then oit is going to spray out of the holes. The only solution is to clear the debris or seal the holes.
If you cant clear the chamber then seal the holes with some plastic epoxy. It wont hurt anything to seal them.
Thanks for your help! I hate my dishwasher!
