I also have an LG gas dryer model DLG2302W and need to convert to LP gas. I read your instructions and was wondering if you also had to change the regulator pressure and if so how do you do that?Thank you
Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.Yes you do need to change the regulator pressure. This white threaded screw needs to be threaded down al the way down to the silver nut so that the silver nut is touching the brass valve part----do not turn the silver nut itself---that needs to be right under the blue line. But you'll want to tighten the white threaded part down to convert it.
Thanks Doc!Do I also have to change the tube assembly? Some kits I've seen don't look like they have a tube assembly. What is the right kit part number and where is the best place to get it?Thanks again.Dave
You don't need to chage the tube assembly. You just need to replace the brass oriface. The kit is just one part and it's only about $7. It's kit number 4948EL4002B. Below is a link to the part.CLICK HERE
Dude, that's awesome, Thanks!
no problem and good luck.
One more thing. I tried going back to the answer with the instructions and now I can't find them, does the kit come with instructions or could you send me the instructions?DD
eh, I'm not sure what answer your talking about, but I can tell you how to get into the unit so that you can replace the part---but I don't think instructions come with the kit. This is really not an easy to get inside the dryer unfortunately. To gain access, you need to pull the dryer forward and unplug it. Next, remove the 2 bolts coming in from the back of the top panel. The top panel will pull straight back, up, and off. Remove the screws coming in from the inside of the dryer going into the control panel. The control panel will then pull up and out of the way. At this point, you just have a few screws going across the top of the front panel to remove. Open the door and you need to remove the 2 screws below the door way. Now you can remove the front panel to access the inside of the dryer and convert the burner.
That was exactly what I needed. Thanks.DD
no problem.
