Yes, there are several steps to make things better. The ice bin has to be dumped into a bowl and rinsed out with hot water complete to clear all ice until parts move freely. Towel dry the bin, and poor ice back in, and place back into door. This has to be done every 2 weeks for crushed ice user, and every month for cube ice users. You can pop off the front dispenser panel, and seal where the wires go up into the door with caulking. That is has been the fix for years. The dispenser cover can be removed by looking under the panel, and use a flat blade in the slots. You will see the wire harness hole that needs sealed after it is moved out of the way.
