Hello, I can help you with this. try pressing a center combination of two buttons with a space between ie 00x0x0 or 00x0x0 where x is a pressed button. this is a reset. you should try that first.
Sorry nevermid, just read in the fine details you tried cancel drain.
If you have don that and the machine still won't change functiuons, try breaker off for 5 min. If that still happens you will need the board. Would you be doing the repair yourself? I could look up the part if needed.
thanks for your reply. This washer model has a four button panel, so I already tried the reset " cancel drain" of oxox. Where would the breaker be? down below.. near or back?
the breaker box is somewhere in your house. You would need to find the correct breaker for the dishwasher and turn it off for 5 min.
Its the panel with all the house power switches.
Let me know how I can further assist at any time.
Yes I would be repairing it myself. Would appreicate your help in looking up the replacement part needed. Thanks
So the part number is XXXXX but is not available at all. There was a recall from siemens/bosch on these due to a fire hazrd. You will need to cal the customer support center on Monday morning. The good news is they will supply the part and labor for free. The customer service number is(NNN) NNN-NNNN
Kind of a pain but the price will be good.
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance and feel free to rate my help at any time. That will in no way close the question, you can ask me about thios as long as you like. Thanks, Sam
Since you suggested that the board in question had a recall and might get it fix for no cost, we call the Siemens for an service appointment. Turn out the problem was just the power switch, a $30 part which I could have take care of myself. The service call cost us $200 for part and labor; well at least it run better with about a 30% shorter wash cycle time.
