I have a maytag model csg6000aal gas range top! The burners will not lite.The igniter makes the ticking sound but dont lite.

Are all of them not lighting? Or just a couple?

All of them are not lighting and also when the cord is plugged in the igniter makes the ticking sound without turning the knobs on all.

Alright it sounds like you may have two different issues. If one of the burner switches is bad the unit will start to tick as if you had turned the knob. You would have to get at each of the burner switches and unplug one wire off a switch at a time to determine which switch is bad. Now even if a switch is bad and sending power to the spark module without you turning the knob the unit should still light, so the module may be bad as well. That spark module is very common for going out. Here is a link to the parts for it for you.
