Model MDE5500AYW buttons don't work,Replaced the control module and it still doesn't respond.When I open door the lights come on with 50 min. and the start button blinks but nothing happens...with any button HELP
Optional Information: Brand: Maytag Type of Appliance: Dryer Already Tried: Replaced Control module Part No.33003028 None of the buttons work. This happened a few yrs ago and I replaced this part and it worked. Is there something I can do or look for? Really need to dry clothes

No..eventually they just go black but not just closing the door

I really don't remember. My son changed it for me and it was a few yrs ago. I just remember the buttons would not respond then and this time the same so that's why I had him change the control
OK well the only two items that can cause this problem is either the control board or the touchpad. Push the start button and listen if it beeps back at you. If it won't even beep back at you, then you need a new touch control panel---otherwise you may have just got a bad display control board so warranty out the control board and you should be good to go again (this is if you press the start button and it does beep but won't start).

Can you tell me the Part No for the touch control panel so I can get a new one? Pls excuse me but I'm 73 yrs old and have a hard time seeing. thanks I will try to return the display control board and will order the touch control panel. I hope it works.
