Thanks for counting on us to help with your appliance problem! My name is XXXXX XXXXX X look forward to helping you! If the door opened mid-cycle, the lock has broken and will need to be replaced. Will it even fill or do anything at all?

Not at all! You will simply need to open the door and remove the wire spring from around the rubber door boot. Fold the boot back on the RH side to access the door switch. All of the wires plug in and you can't get them wrong because they are specific to each plug. The door lock is available at the link below!

The link below is to the part you will need from a company rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau, also with the best return policy in the industry. They offer a 100% money back guarantee, EVEN ON INSTALLED ELECTRICAL PARTS, for an entire year!

not sure where rubber door boot is.

The big gray rubber ring in the door opening. It is pictured below....

Remove the wire from the front of it by folding the thin flap of rubber back on the bottom to expose the spring. Grab the end of the spring with a pair of needle nosed pliers and pull it off. Fold the RH side in to access the door switch.

It does, you just need to remove the wire from around the front edge of the rubber ring. It is very easy to do.
