First thing is to clean the sump. In this break down part # XXXXX is the sup cover it is inside the Dishwasher below the lower spray arm. Just give it a bit of a squeeze and it comes off. Then stick your hand down inside the sump and pull out any debris. Just be careful there may be broken glass. Let me know what you find.

It is just held with clips if you give it a squeeze it just pops off.

Customer replied 288 days and 1 hours ago.

Spin the lower spray arm counter clock wise while pulling up on it and remove it then remove the cover and get your hand down in the sump and check around.

Customer replied 288 days ago.

removed arm, stuck fingers down as far as possible, nothing there but undesolved "finish" sharp edges down there received small cut on finger.

Put it back together and start it when it is done filling open the door and tell me how close to the door the water is ?

Customer replied 288 days ago.

the dishwasher is running now on the rinse cycle, water is about 2 ins from door is this a good measure or it is 20 mins until rinse cylce is completed and i can restart.

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 288 days ago.

Yes that is a good measure. Can you tell if either of the spray arms are moving ?

Customer replied 288 days ago.

only the bottom arm is moving

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 288 days ago.

Make sure the upper rack is pushed all the way back and the tube going to the upper spray arm is sealing properly at the back.

Customer replied 288 days ago.

rack is all the way back and upper arm looks ok. i have now found a small metal washer, looks like an "0" ring in bottom of tub?

Does it look like part # XXXXX in this break down ?

Customer replied 288 days ago.

i think so

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 288 days ago.

Have a look at the bottom of the lower spray arm and see if there is a washer there ?

Customer replied 288 days ago.

washer is exact size of the piece of bottom arm that goes down in the hole

Do you mean part # XXXXX

Customer replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

i think so---the washer is the exact size of the part attached to arm that goes down in the hole, it matches the end of this piece, will not fit over it

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

If you remove the spray arm again can you put it in ?

Customer replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

yes, just drop in down into the hole then attach arm?

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

Yes then you need to check the tube that runs up the back for any blockage. It is the tube the upper spray arm attach's to.

Customer replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

ssince no water is getting to middle or upper arms blockage must be between bottom and middle arms? correct ? how do i remove tube from bottom arm area?

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 23 hours ago.

Remove the spray arm then unscrew the piece that it attach's to then the next piece will twist. There is a tab you need to lift to twist it. The tube is held with clips if it needs to be removed.

Customer replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

i removed lower arm middle arm with rack and upper arm along with water tube went outside used water hose with pressure and flushed out tube, and all the arms. none were clogged. i have not put parts back in tub, is there anything we can do now that i have all thse parts out?

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

Make sure all the holes in the spray arms are clear and they are not cracked if they check fine put the entire thing back together and try it.

Customer replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

i finally got it back together---stll no water at the middle and upper arms

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

The next step would be to pull the motor out and check the impeller if it is slipping it would not have enough force to push the water up. Do you think you are up for that ?

Customer replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

how difficult is on a scale of 1-10 maybe i should pay you for you trouble and call an expert repairman.

Picture
Expert:  Tom Johnston replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

It would be about a 7. the entire dishwasher would need to come out.

Customer replied 287 days and 22 hours ago.

that might be over my head---lets stop here ---what do i owe you>
