5 years old Amana washer Mod.#NTW5700TQ0, w/ATC. When it hits spin cycle it stops, will not drain or spin, and buzzing noise comes from timer. Mike

Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.Does the timer still count down to the end of the cycle when it should be draining and spinning? Or does the timer stop just before the drain and spin cycle?
Well...this is my mother-in-law's washer and she says that the timer hummed but did count down to end of cycle.
ok that's fine. If you find out that the timer DOESN'T count down to the end, then you'll need to replace the lid switch because that will stop the washer from draining and spinning for safety reasons but that will stop the timer from advancing as well.If the timer is counting down but you don't hear the motor doing anything and the washer won't drain and spin, you'll need to replace the timer.
