I have a KSCS23INSS01 Kitchenaid Side by Side. The compressor was a 230v and the inverter was smoked due to the compressor being bad. Can I put a 110v compressor in and by pass the inverter?

I dont want to replace the compressor with a 230v compressor. Inverter is too expensive. would like to just install a 110 v compressor

Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today. I'm sorry to say but no you can not. That compressor in there now is a variable speed compressor. The control boards tell the inverter what to do. If you put in a 110 volt compressor the unit wont work.
