how do I take off the big wash arm
\hi, you unscrew the disk on top of the spray arm, counter clockwise
ok. was cautious about that. will do. hard to grab it. as thin as a half dollar
got it going for the torx
ok, let me know if any probs...take note of how things come apart and in which sequence
wow what a mess
filter plugged?
cant see through it. clwaning the 4 leg thing.
yea that is what happens ..it gets full of crap..
just take note of how things go back ..ive had so many people take it apart and forget how it goes back
does the part that is held in with the torx screws open up for cleaning?
you there?
no that part is molded plastic together..you can try running hot water thru those ports, thats about it
I see some dirt there. does it matter for now?
no , put it back together and run some bleach or vinegar thru the DW
ok. what will that d?
do
when you put that cover on, make sure that center piece spins freely those rectangular pieces need to seat properly,or the spray arm will bind
vinegar or bleach will loosen that dirt and clean it out
run it with no dishes
ok. how much bleach?
couple cups , let it fill up then open door and throw bleach in
filter doesnt want to seat
filter does not want to seat
just play with it ..you will get it ..fit those squares in with you hand ..no secret there
happens every time with me
should I unsnap the filter? or leave it like a circle?
is there a position fot the filter? seems like a circle?
you just fit that filter until the squares at the rear line up ,the start a few screws ,making sure the center piece is free to turn..then put the spray arm back on//
how do remove/clean the top washer
