Thank you Nicole,Can you tell me if there is any excessive frost build up on the rear wall inside of the freezer and if you see any ice ice in the water tube at the top of the ice maker?Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX be patient while I gather this information so I can help you effectively:-)Tech Michael
There is no excess frost/icy residue on the rear wall. I am not sure where to locate the water tube. I thought I knew (clear, thick tube with a white cord,plug-like end with black lines on it). It was on the rear left side of the ice maker.I tried to feel the line to see if it had ice in it, but I couldn't tell.
Hi Nicole, the tube should be sticking out of the top rear wall just above the ice makers tray.If you cant feel any ice its likely not the problem.Usually when this is the issue there isnt any water getting to the ice maker and that is the fault of the water inlet solenoid. It a small easy to change part that you could likely do on your own saving you lots of money. You can get a new solenoid replacement kit from Cashwell Appliance: (NNN) NNN-NNNN They are economical and reliable.Plus they will ship this to you the same day you order it:-)I can help you with the install, although it comes with simple instructions. The part is located inside the rear lower access plate behind the freezer.Thank you and have a wonderful day:-)Tech Michael
