okay this is a top load and it doesn't have a heater in it, the fill valve has thermistors in it but they only sense the water temp. this means your washer water will only get as hot as you house water. If your house water isn't 160 degrees the water in the washer wont get to that. theres no heater in the washer itself. it has a temp control board but that will just control from cold to hot and in between. it cant heat the water. sorry. hope this helps. thanks Bryan

can you use a tankless heater to raise the temp?

that may work depending on how many gallons per minute it dispenses. these take a lot of water to fill. you would need to find out how much water it can heat . that is an option.

thats hard to say. depends on your water pressure in the house. they sell instant water heaters that can handle it but you need to call a plumbing supply house and get the info. they will be able to tell you. thanks Bryan
