Resolved Question:

Control board for Maytag Model MBF2254HEW refrigerator - how do we get the panel open to find and replace the control board? We do not see any screws to remove so please advise where they are and what to do. Many thanks for your assistance.

Tim Alan :

Hi my name isXXXXX will try and help you with your issue.

Tim Alan :

The entire control box is held into place by plastic tabs that extend through the liner

Tim Alan :

So there are no screws that hold it into place

Tim Alan :

Let my post a picture and that should help you, but the easiest way to drop the box down, is start in one of the corners and insert a flat screwd driver and slowly pull down on the front of the box to disengage the tabs

Tim Alan :

The picture somewhat shows those tabs, and once you have the front pulled down it slides right out, the only other thing to do is remove the plug that is inside and you can then pull the entire control box out.

Tim Alan :

Then the light cover slides out and the control is mounted in a box.

Tim Alan :

The box that holds the control is also held on by plastic tabs.
