My Miele G 842 SC has the red PC light flashing and will not

Resolved Question:

My Miele G 842 SC has the red PC light flashing and will not turn on. We never use salt as our water does not require salt. I had a new pump installed March 12 - Machine ran fine until this morning.

How old is the unit?
Please turn off the circuit breaker off and wait 5 minutes.
Then turn it back on, press and hold the cancel button.
Please let me know if this has any effect.

I turned off breaker and have to wait the 5 minutes. This is a G842 SC Plus unit that is 7 years old. It does not have a "cancel" button - just the Onn/Off and Start with rotary selection.

Hi Paul, when you turn it back on its the OFF button to press sorry for the mis communication.

Hi Paul,

That is an indication that the drain pump needs to be replaced.
You can obtain a new pump from Miele:(NNN) NNN-NNNN
Its easy to install as you already have worked with it lol.
