Customer Question

I have a Kenmore elite two drawer dishwasher top drawer is not working. Water fills but then there is a humming noise like a motor is trying to pump water into arm but it won't turn and spray water. It hums twice then stops and then just keeps intermittently trying. Every once in a while the dishwasher will run as is supposed to but most of the time it doesn't. Model XXXXXXXXXXX 1 1/2 years old

thanks for waiting ,, you need to set out the drawer and replace the wash pump and its part number 99003730 which cost about $147 and you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer near you

How do I get to the pump

you will need to remove the dishwasher and remove the bottom to completely replace it, if this unit is a year or less old you should call sears and have them to send out a service tech to replace it for you and the parts and labor will be covered under its warranty

Customer replied370 days and 14 hours ago.

Well it's one and One half years old. Again, could you please walk me through on how to get to the pump
