I have a kenmore pro wall mount electric oven model C970 437 034 installed in 2008. A few months ago some water stains appeared between the glass of the door which we cannot access to clean (the oven seems to be operating fine but it's obviously bothering us). Can you provide some guidance on how I should clean this? XXX@XXXXXX.XXX Aurora Ontario

Welcome to Just Answer..Sorry you are having this problem..In order to clean the stains you will need to completely remove the door from the oven..Then take the door apart..Open the door all the way..You will see small metal tabs at each hinge ..Flip the tabs outward from the oven body towards you..(this will lock the hinges in the out position...Do this for both sides..Then close the door as far as it will let you(should stop at about 5-9 inches from closing completely)..Lift the door off the oven body..Set the door on a towel on a flat surface..Remove the screws along the very bottom of the door and sides..Clean the glass..Then reassemble..The trick here is to remember how each part came off..Taking a picture can help you tremendously..When you are done..Keep the hinges locked outward..Set the door back in the almost closed position..Open the door then move the tabs back into the unlock position..Thanks Bob
Does not sound that straightforward. Can you provide me with a video link or some visual instructions with exploded view that I can refer to as I go through the process. Failing that is their someone yiou can recommend I could contact who would charge a reasonable fee
Yes..Here is a video that will help you understand how the door is removed..It is not your unit exactly but will show you how in the same manner..If you need to hire help..Your best option would be to contact a local appliance shop..Any appliance repair shop should know how to complete this job with no problems..Thanks BobCLICK HERE FOR VIDEO
