I have a side by side refrigerator. I have the ice maker set on cubes and the light indicates cube but all I get is crushed. I have looked at the manual but cannot find a solution

Pull out the ice bucket and you will see where the metal part of the ice bucket connects into. Move that up and down, it may be stuck.

It appears that solenoid is bad. Could you read me the model number from your unit, it will be on a sticker with the serial number in the fresh food section on the top left or right side.

It's a good indication that solenoid is bad if crushed works. The solenoid controls the cubed aspect of your ice system.

THat is not 100% unless you get a meter but if you are satisfied please accept my answer. ALso, I would order from a site such as repair clinic becuase you can return the item even if you install it.
