Hello I'm Larry and I will use all my training and knowledge of 40 years to help you with your Problem today ,, thanksyou just need to clear the drain for the fridge problem ,, remove the inside back panel in the fridge, pour hot water into the trough at the back under the coil and open the drain, once water drains as it should then put it back together and it will be fine againfor the low water coming out the door you need to either replace the water filter inside the fridge or replace the water valve on the back of the fridgefor the ice not dispenser it may work fine after you correct these other two problem ,,, thanks
I am trying to take the back off...I took out the three screws, see where the arrows line up, but don't want to break anything. Does it just pop off?
you may have to defrost it first since you most likely have ice built up behind it on the drain and up onto the back of the panel holding it from coming loose
Ok, I got the back off and was able to free up the frozen water in the drain hole. That problem should be fixed. That did not do anything to help the ice dispenser....about a year ago I had the same problem with the ice not dispensing and was able to get it working heating the motor with a hair dryer and pressing the on/off lever three times...then it stopped working again and that solution doesn't work now. Any ideas for the ice maker?
if this does not help once you do this and use the hair dryer then you will have to replace the auger motor, thats the part you heated up last time
Ok. Let me try it a few times and then I will go the replacing the motor route. (is that easy to do myself--can I buy a replacement motor and just take the one out and put the new one in?). On my 3rd issue with the water flow...isn't there a gauge that I can turn/tighten/loosen in the back to increase/decrease water flow? It seems like when we first bought the fridge and the guy hooked it up he controlled it in the back somehow but I don't know how....
Larry, the ice maker is now working. If I have the same problem in a couple of days, do you think replacing the motor will fix it or it is just a defect of this model and we are stuck without a functioning ice dispenser?
sorry but i was off line ,, if it does this again i would replace the motor and you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer near you and it should come with instructions ,, thanks
