How do I remove the ice maker from a Sears side by side Refrigerator freezer? It stopped making ice and the water in the water intake is frozen.
Hi, thanks for using JustAnswer.com. Please remember, I do not get paid for my time and expertise until you accept. May I please have your model number so I am able to provide you with accurate, model specific information?Kelly
Thank you! On the bottom of the icemaker is a 1/4" screw in the RR corner. Remove that screw and then the plastic cover it secures while holding the icemaker in. Once that cover is removed, it will expose the power plug. Once that plug is disconnected, you can simply slide the icemaker out and set it aside. If the fill tube continues to freezer after you thaw it, you may need to replace the water inlet valve.Clicking the “ACCEPT” button will NOT close this question.
