Customer Question

I just purchased an HBL35 double built-in oven. When I turn the electrical breaker on and start the initial test, as soon as I turn the oven to Bake, there is a steady loud buzz that comes from the oven and does not stop until I turn the breaker off. All other functions of the oven work (lights, clock, timer, etc.). I'm at a loss of what could be wrong. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hello, and thank you for using this service. I'll be helping you with your problem today.

Does this happen when you try both the top and bottom oven? And do you get this nnoise when you try broil as well?

Customer replied 368 days and 1 hours ago.

This happens with both the top and bottom ovens and on both Bake and Broil.

ok so that noise sounds like it's just the cooling fan running. The cooling fan will run as soon as you start the oven and it will not shut off until the interior of the oven is cooled down below 185 degrees which can take up to 1 1/2 hours after you shut the oven down depending on how long the oven was running for and how hot the panels inside the oven were getting.

Now if the noise is abnormally loud, call warranty as the cooling fan may have come defective.
