We have an Axxis washer, either WFL2050 or WFL2060. - front loading. It was purchased in 2001 and has been fine until a couple of days ago. The system will not operate under any of the settings. The indicator lights work, but the drum does not spin - clothes just sit. and stay soaked. I reviewed the Troubleshooting section and then followed the procedure for cleaning the drain pump (p 20 -21 of the Manual). I tried the infill of 1 litre of water into Chambre II and tried "drain", but no change - some noises as if it was working, but the drum does not move. Suggestions ? Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX
Optional Information: Brand: Bosch Axxis Type of Appliance: Washer Already Tried: Troubleshooting = cleaning the drain pump and priming the "drain" function wit h1 litre of water into chambre II. See my original message
Does it drain fine?
If so does it drain to the point the sound changes? Do you hear any relays clicking sounds when it should be moving? And also .... does it agitate when it is washing or does it just set still the whole cycle
There is no standing water in the bottom of the drum, but the clothes are sopping. We do hear some clicking sounds , and even some swishy sounds ( like it is trying to work), but it does not agitate at all - just sits still.
You have bad brushes in the motor .... you can remove the back of the unit and see if there is any fine black powder under the motor .... but I'm sure there will be and this is your issue ... I run into it all the time on the bosch units. They SHOULD use a brushless motor but don't and sometimes this happens .... you just need to replace the motor
Do you need a part number and price? IF so I will need your correct model number .... just open the door it's printed on there
It is the WFL2060 UC. Thanks for your help. ( Is this a repair that I - not a good handyman - can do or do I need to find a contractor ?)
Putting the motor on is VERY easy .... the part isn't cheap
But the motor is really easy to put on ... just 1 wiring connector and 2 bolts .... literally takes me like 5 mins to put on once you get the back panel off
Do you want the part number to do it yourself or do you wanna hire it out?
Should we then replace thewasher ? If so, with a bosch or another brand ( it fits under a shelf, so we are constrained by size)

, You can order from Marcone by calling at 1-888-464-2853 or through Repairclinic.com whichever is easier for you. Both appear to have it in stock.
It's about 180 ... I wouldn't replace the machine for that reason
Do you have a recommendation for a service company in the vicinity of Devon, Pa 19333 ? ( i would paya reasonable fee t obe sure that it is done correctly. )
Wish I were closer :) I'm in tennessee .... I can't really make a recomendation I don't know anyone in that area ... there is a free service (I'm a member of here) called service magic ... you might try them .... they background check and prescreen contractors for you .... the contractor pays for your "lead" but you pay nothing to get 3 quotes from them
So ..... I would try them
thanks fory our help - I'll follow your suggestions either to purchase the motor or to engage a contractor.
I would really try it youself
ok - will do. thanks
I promise if you can turn a wrench you can do it ... I can even help you for FREE ... just return to THIS question so your not changed for a second one
IF you can't do it .... the contractor will charge the same ... you won't cost yourself more by trying
