hi, I have a ge profile. I have no air flow. This happened right after i turned it off for about 1 hr and left the doors open for cleaning. Any ideas?

Hello
Thank you for using Just Answer
no air flow in freezer or down at the compressor ?
freezer, the compressor runs and the condenser ices up
is the compressor running , and fan down there ?
compressor for sure, cannot tell a fan, very quiet
ok when compressor is running the fan down there and the fan in the freezer should both be running
you need to check evaporator fan motor
well, neither fan seems to be running then, but when I put my ear to the door i hear the compressor
this happened before and the tech changed the control board
how do i check the evaporator fan?
ok if neither fan is running then compressor should not be. to be sure take lower cover off behind the refrigerator. compressor looks like a black bowling ball shape.
you can put your hand on it, should feel vibration if it is running. also you will see if the condensor fan is blowing air on it to keep it cool while down there.
also do you have the model # XX the refrigerator
cannot easily move refrigerator now, anything i can do from the front?
I hear clearly the compressor running but no fan at all.
you say this is not possible
?
well you can see if fan in freezer is locked up, the reason i need to know if compressor was running is the unit may be stuck in defrost cycle. can you access that model #
on a sticker in ref section
thecompressor could be running with no fan blowing on it, i am saying it should not run with out the fan blowin on it. also the fan in the freezer is supposed to run while compressor is on

ok most likely you have a problem with the control board in the back or a evaporator fan motot locked up
to gat to board you have go behind the refigerator. take off small panel in the middle of back wall. board is behind that. sometimes has a burnt mark on it. link below is for the bard if you need it

as far as fan motor, you need toput a meter on it to see if it is getting 120 volts
if you are and it is not running than it is bad
link for fan motor is below if you need it
