are you getting 120 volts to the turntable motor?

I don't have a volt meter. Can I just use a light that indicates current?
you should be able to yes. be careful though.

I did use what I have and it showed current going to the motor when the microwave is on.

 

okay the motor is bad. are there #s on it ? is it the same as the one I showed you ?
