Maytag Dryer, Model #SDE4606AYW, Serial #12581257EN

There is no response of any kind when the start button is pushed, no click, no sound, nothing. The timer can be heard counting and the circuit breaker is fine. Does that suggest the control panel is bad, or is there an auto motor shutoff or a fuse issue potential? Thanks

Hi,Welcome to Just Answer, My name is XXXXX XXXXX forward to helping you today.

your thermal fuse has blown, these can blow because of a clogged vent but thats not always the reason, sometimes these just go. check your vent system after replacing this and make sure the vent is clear. there is an access panel on the front of the dryer you remove to access this.it will be mounted on the heating element straight back on the left side once you remove the panel. unplug the dryer before servicing. you can order this @ http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Thermal-Fuse/40113801/915698?modelNumber=SDE4606AYW for under $8.00, thanks and well wishes, Bryan
