I was cleaning the stovetop and pulled the knobs off to clean

Resolved Question:

I was cleaning the stovetop and pulled the knobs off to clean and the clicking noise you hear the starter go on, has stayed on. I can't get the clicking noise to stop. Do you have any suggestions.

Tim Alan :

Hi my name isXXXXX will try and help you.

Tim Alan :

If the switches behind the knobs get wet during any type of cleaning they will continue to cause the clicking. Unplug the unit and either let them dry out or you can use a hair dryer pointed inside the whole behind the knobs to help assist in drying them out.

Tim Alan :

Sometimes just unplugging the unit for 24 hours is what it takes, if the clicking does not go away the the ignition switches will have to be replaced.
