Resolved Question:

I have a whirlpool m#GU2275XTVO. I ran a load of dishes and when I came home the tub was full of water and the lights were out on controls. Nothing works. Is this a problem with the control board or is there another safty that would cause this to happen.
Thank you Tim

Tim Alan :

Hi my name isXXXXX will try to help you with your issue.

Customer:

OK thank you

Tim Alan :

There is a thermal fuse inside the control panel mounted on the mother board, that will sometimes blow, if that blew then the unit is completely dead.

Tim Alan :

That is the first thing to check along with the latch and the door switches.

Customer:

Will this fuse test as open continuity

Tim Alan :

The fuse if bad will have no ohm reading if good it will ohm out to zero

Customer:

ok i will check

Tim Alan :

The fuse looks like a small thermostat and is item 6

Customer:

Fuse is bad lol! Thank you

Tim Alan :

ok great

Tim Alan :

Do one other thing double check the model number there is something missing at the end

Tim Alan :

I want to check something on the tech sheet but need the complete model number
