You said the compressor tries to click on.
Does it do this every few minutes?
That is going to be the start device on the side of the compressor. It will need to be replaced to get you up and running again. It is not hard. Would you like the part number so you can do it yourself?
yes I would thank you
that part is about $50 right
Number 16 is the start device in the picture. Just unplug the unit and take the cover off of the compressor area on the back of the refrigerator. Locate the device on the side of the compresser and used a flathead screwdriver to get it off. The part is 54 dollars at sears but you can get it on Amazon for around 31.
Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/Whirlpool-Refrigerator-Relay-Overload-8201786/dp/B002ZNI9RG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328737379&sr=8-1
After you install the new part, just plug the unit in and you will be good to go.
Any other questions for me?
Thanks a million! Wanna come put it on for me... lol
Sure thing, lol.
I am in Texas.

That is cool. Would you like a video that shows you how to do the repair also?
There you go.
