So the shock is in 2 pieces right now? Is it attached to the tub? And I assume it's attached to the floor?

OK then to remove these shocks you need to grab a pair of channel lockas and grab the shocks. Then twist it 90 degrees and pull down on the top of the shock to remove it from the tub.
