we changed the drain hose and now the clean light keeps blinking and we can only get the dishwasher to drain. What should we do with our 2004 Kenmore dishwaher?

Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today. Is the clean light flashing 7 times?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

ok you need to reset the control board. Press "high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash"

All the lights will go solid at which point you press cancel to reset the board.

**NOTE** if you don't have a "heated dry" button, use the "air dry" or "energy saver dry" button instead.

If the control board doesn't reset, you'll need to order and replace the board because it's just shorted. Below is a link to the control board you'd need to order along with a video that will show you how to replace the control board if you wanted to do it yourself (it's a very easy process). Make sure you didn't pull a wire off the heating element.

Ok it sounds like either you have a bad pump or the pump is jammed. Here is a video that will help you check the chopper. If the chopper is clean you need to replace the pump motor. CLICK HERE

there was not much in the hopper. A little bit of glass and a little debris. We got it put back together and tried the wash mode again and it seems to be working now. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it will stay working, thanks for your help!
