I opened the dishwasher door during the drying cycle and now the dishwasher won't start a new load. When I push the buttons, nothing happens. How can I re-set the machine?

Hello, my name is Dave. It is possible that the thermal fuse opened or the door switch has failed. Do you have an electrical meter to do testing? I will also need the model number to look up the wiring diagram.

I don't have an electrical tester.

Thanks. Your Dishwasher does have a thermal fuse in the control area as well as the door switch. As long as it is not the circuit breaker etc. in the house it is one of these that has failed. Without a tester and taking the dishwasher apart there is no other test or reset you can perform.
