My kitchen aid superba whisper quiet ultima dishwasher will not fill with water when I turn it on. I just humms, any troubleshooting tips?

ok When you turn the dishwasher on when do you hear this hum ?

As soon as you start it or approx 2 min after.

Yes, when I press the normal cycle button, then hit the start button, It humms and the indicator light goes directly to clean, but the cylce has not started.


ok Now lets press cancel once and see if it starts to drain?

I've pressed it and it tries to drain, but there is no water in the tub, it is humming away

ok open the door ,pull the bottom rack out and in the front corner there is a float switch pick it up and down a couple of times ,then try to run the water ?
