Hi,Welcome to Just Answer, My name is XXXXX XXXXX forward to helping you today.

Okay so you put a new electronic control board set up in it and when you shut the door it lights up on the top where the buttons are, are you able to get any of these buttons to respond like to set it on normal or pots and pans or anything like that? And if you are able to set the cycle does it just not start when you press the start button?

Okay you need to replace the key pad itself. These short out because of moisture from the dishwasher getting up inside the control panel that area, once they sure about there's no fixing it short of replacing the keypad itself. You need to order and replace it, below is a link to the part ,

Touchpad and Control Panel, thanks , Bryan
