ok have you turned this valve on and off several times .
Sometimes mineral deposits can start to clog the main supply line?
did that just now no difference..
ok if the inlet supply valve is good ,then it has to be the refigerators water inlet supply valve.

Is this something that is easy to replace?
Would the ice maker still work well if this unit is bad?
yes the icemaker is not effected .
This is a duel valve assembly one part for the icemaker ,the other part for the chilled water dispenser.
Yes easy to replace , turn water off ,
pull refrigerator out away from the wall . take back panel off .remove water supply line, unmount water valve from cabinet ,take water lines off for icemaker and chilled water ,unplug the two seperate harnesses , plug harnesses on new valve. install water lines to icemaker ,x
chilled water ,remount valvbe,turn water on to test ,reinstall back panel ,roll back in place .
About 20 min to replace.
