Kenmore (Whirlpool) Refrigerator Model #10656706500 Icemaker

Customer Question

Kenmore (Whirlpool) Refrigerator Model #10656706500
Icemaker cycles properly, or at least it appears to, but doesn't fill. Water line from valve to icemaker is clear. Changed out water valve. Same problem. Optic circuit checks OK. Water dispenser works properly. How can I bypass icemaker so that I can activate the water valve directly to make sure that it works?

Hello. Thank you for choosing Just Answer. I will be helping you with your question today. There is no way to bypass the ice makers with the optics. Remove the ice maker and then the white square cover off the front of it. Make sure the tabs that hold the gear on aren't broken. The ice maker is a common failure on this model.
