Resolved Question:

Our Whirlpool GU1500XTLB1 Diswasher has stopped working. The only response we can get from it is when we press the "cancel" button. It will drain for 2 minutes and shut off. It does not respond to any of the other buttons on the control panel.

Hi,Welcome to Just Answer, My name is XXXXX XXXXX forward to helping you today.

this means the main control board has failed, common on these, you will need to replace it, give me a few minutes, I want to see if I can find the board rest instructions, you can try resetting this before ordering the board
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Okay. Thanks Bryan. I'll wait to hear from you regarding the reset button.
Expert:  Bryan replied 4 years ago.

To reset, press "Heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash" All the lights will flash at which point you can press cancel to reset the board. If the error comes back then replace the element, the only other possibility is the board itself is bad.

if you don't have a heated dry button use the air dry or energy saver dry button. some machines are different.
