how do I raise the door on my Maytag MFD2561HE? it has sunk and does not close into the top

is it the top door that's sagging

yes, the left one that fits in a groove as it closes.

remove the screw in cover over the hinge, loosen the screws in the hinge and move the door up and tighten

this did not work. I loosened the three hex bolts on the top, propped the door in the correct alignment, and tightened. when I moved the book i had propping the door, the door sagged back to the original, out of alignment position.

remove the grill at the bottom and run the legs down one side at a time until they even out

the fridge is not out of alignment, just this door. the fridge is level. The other door is level. This door is not.

then you need to replace the lower hinge and lower bushing of the door since it could not be adjusted this time ,, part number 67001167 which cost about $20 and you can get it at a local appliance parts dealer near you
