I ran one load this morning.. For the second load, it simply won't turn on. Settings are all normal. Check circuit breaker. Next step?

It is deep in a closet. No model number in sight. I am an old guy and can't just pull it all out. I could send a front pic. To where ?

Most likely the lid switch assembly is defective. It has a fuse in it that can go bad if you have a bad switch. The model number may be under the lid around the opening of the washer, not on the lid itself, or on top of the control panel. If it is not in those two places it is probably on the back. This picture may be your lid switch assembly.
