Customer Question

I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 with the plastic touch to program and start control panel. Today when I select "Normal Wash" and then "Start" nothing happens for about 3 seconds and then the "Rinse Only" green LED turns on as if I had made this selection. Selecting Start at this point multiple times will initiate a very short wash cycle - probably a Rinse Only cycle.

What's happening and what is needed to repair it?

You have a stuck keypad on the console. the only way to fix it is to replace it.

Is this caused by corrision from moisture and/or liquid water inside the front door assembly that should also be addressed so as to not have a repeat failure ?

OK, thank you.

Where do I look for instructions / pictures / etc. to remove & replace this piece of the front door assembly?

Expert:  Whrlp Master Tech replied 5 years ago.

this will help .

Removal of the Inner Door Panel will allow access to the

Microprocessor Board, Door Switches, Detergent / Rinse

Aid Dispenser, and Vent Assembly.

Removal

1. Disconnect power to the machine.

2. Open the Dishwasher door.

3. Remove the 11 TorxTM screws along the sides and

top of the Inner Door Panel.

4. Separate the Inner Door Panel from the Outer Door.
