ok rather hard for me to assist you if I do not know what model you have .

Several differant manufactures make appliances for Kenmore /Sears

Is this a front loading washer ,or a top loading washer?

Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Top loader. I believe it is a Whirlpool marketed as a Kenmore.

and it makes this noise as it first starts to fill say with in the first 2 min.?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
It makes it while filling beginning within the first minute and continues throughout the cycle.

THe only thing that is running the entire time it washes is the timer or control depending what model it is .

If it was the water valve it would only be during the fill cycle .

If it was the pump or the motor it would only be during agitate ,drain and spin ,not during fill .

It would be the timer /or control .
