I have a frigidaire ac model FAC127P1A...the unit works great but the fan motor makes a grinding noise like a dry bearing. Is it possible to take the fan motor apart to clean and lube?

Neilwill :

Hello, Thank you for using JustAnswer! If you have any questions after reading my answer,be sure to let me know.

Neilwill :

No, you would have to replace the fan motor.

Neilwill :

Once it starts grinding and making noice it's done

Neilwill :

How old is this Frigidaire air conditioner? I did not find the parts available.

Customer:

the unit is a 2006

Neilwill :

You may just have to replace the Air-conditioner if the parts are no longer available. I tried The repair Clinic and Sears part etc. and did not find the blower available.

Neilwill :

Since the blower fan is not available and the cost of the part and a tech in a 5 year old ac unit you may want to replace the unit.

Neilwill :

I'll look at a few more places give me a minute

Neilwill :

Here is a parts link. with a diagram the fan motor is not available here either .
