Can you get us the full model number from inside the refrigerator section? Also behind the food in the freezer section is there Frost on the panel in the back behind the food? Thanks, Bryan

Hi Bryan, model #pss23sgsa ss and yes theres frost on the back panel

Okay your problem is a defrost issue, extremely common on these refrigerators, your defrost heater has failed, GE has redesigned these heaters, the new heater assembly is a dual glass tube heater and they have completely illuminated the single glass tube heaters which burnout, the new heater looks like this one, here comes the fun part you need to remove all of your food in the freezer section unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel that's got all the Frost on it, there will be screws top and bottom, once you get that off you will see all the Frost on the coils they will be really clogged up with Frost, take a hairdryer in defrost the entire coil system until all the Frost is gone, then put the panel back in and restart the refrigerator, this may take some time to cool back down but it will run normally until you can receive the new heater, you can order this heater at the following link, there is also a link there to a video if you have a voltmeter you can actually test your heater to be sure but I'm pretty confident that's what it is we replace a ton of these, as soon as the new heater comes in just replace it, thanks and well wishes, Bryan
