If the washer will not drain the water then it will spin slower because of the weight. I would check the following things.

#1, the pump and drain line (make sure its not plugged up)

#2, The timer

#3, The control board

Try putting the washer in different cycles to see if this will trigger the washer to drain. If not then it may be the pump or the control board.

If it does then I would start with the timer first.

If your not comfortable working on this type of appliance then I would suggest getting a repair tech to do it so you dont make an error in the repair and cause more damage.
