Customer Question

I have an LG Tromm washer. The LE Error code has come on. Whats the problem?

Optional Information:
Make: General Electric LG Tromm
Model: WM1815CS

Already Tried:
I started the spin cycle to drain the water, that initially corrected the problem for about 5 loads. The error message came on again, and I tried the spin cycle once more but the LE message came on this time, 3 minutes into the cycle.

Hi my name is XXXX, X will be assisting you with this problem.

Below is the meaning of the error code.

This one is not a good problem for a diy fix since factory test equipment will be needed to accurately diagnose the problem. I would recommend you have someone qualified come do the repair to save yourself buying parts that may not be the problem.

LE Locked motor error. Cause: The connector (3-pin), male, white) in the motor harness is not connected to the connector. (3-pin,female,white) of stator assembly. Or the electrical contact between the connectors. (3-pin,male,white) in the motor harness and 4-pin,female,white connector in the main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. Or the motor harness between the stator assembly and main PWB assembly is cut (open circuit) Or the hall sensor is out of order/defective.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. If you have no further questions please don't forget to hit the accept button since this is how I get paid for my time and effort. Thanks.

Mike
