When I clicked on the link to get information about ordering the new board, I saw another answer on that page. It said, " Hello Warren. F1 is for an out of range pressure switch. You will need to check the pressure hose and make sure it is not kinked, clogged, or tore. If it is ok, then replace the control board. AP4360738 Hope this helps." Is it possible that maybe only the pressure switch is faulty and not the whole board? I don't want to pay $178 for a new board if it might be something simpler.

I am sorry to say, but I don't feel that your advice was worth $28. And here is the reason: After I communicated with you, I did what I should have done in the first place; I looked this problem up on the internet. What I found was many, many entries about the same problem, and reading through them I discovered that Whirlpool will replace the module free of charge. I called them and have an appointment for next week to have it done. I would think that someone in your position would know about that considering how common the problem seems to be. If you had told me that I would have felt it was valuable information and would have gladly paid the $28, but if I had followed your advice alone I would have had to spend $178 (plus shipping) on the module and who knows how much to have it installed. I hope you understand.
Sincerely, Pete Letchworth
