My Maytag gas dryer is not heating. The vent is clear and blowing cool air. Any ideas?

First you would need to check the igniter..Make sure it glows..If not then test it with a test meter...You should also remove the vent pipe from the back of dryer..Then start the dryer...See if it heats..If not you will be looking for the igniter #4 to glow..Most common problems with these are the igniter being faulty..And the gas coils #7 #8 being faulty..

You would need to remove the front panel.#24...Remove the door first..Then the four screws #22 #23...Pull panel off..I can almost guarantee you the igniter is faulty..Very common
